Antioxidant Activity Test of "Aia Tempayang" With DPPH Metode (2,2-Diphenyl-1 Picrylhydrazyl)

Aia Tempayang is a traditional West Sumatera drink made from sappan wood (caesalpania sappan), pangdahai/scaphium macropadum, and basil seeds (Ocimum basilicum). tempayang simple to find can be found in stalls that sell it packs. The local society consumes aia because thought reduce fever treat canker sores. Sappan wood, pangdahai, have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antibacterial properties. Because there has been no research on the health benefits of drink, goal this study was determine antioxidant activity as well each ingredient. DPPH method used assess (2,2-diphenyl-1 Picrylhydrazil). by steeping dry warm water for 20 minutes at 70 Degrees Celsius, then filtering it. As comparison, wrought material dissolved ethanol used.
